The Clinic and Dispensary

What happens in a consultation?
The clinic and apothecary is located in the beautiful village of Titchfield and is therefore conveniently located for patients coming from Stubbington, Fareham and Gosport, as well as from Lee-on-the-Solent, Whiteley, Wickham, Southampton and surrounding areas. It is easily accessible from Junctions 9 & 11 of the M27 for those patients coming from further afield. Parking is limited to 20 minutes outside the clinic so is ok if you're just popping by to collect prescriptions, but there is ample parking in Barry's Meadow by the GP surgery or by Titchfield Community Centre.
Along with a consultation and examination space, there is a fully-stocked herbal dispensary which means the herbal medicine can be dispensed while you wait. The dispensary includes a wide range of products including herbal tinctures, teas, glycerites and topical products, alongside a selection of additional and complementary products such as herbal and nutritional supplements, and concentrated plant and fruit juices.
We also stock a range of products to support your health and well-being such as lovely natural, chemical free candles and diffusers, books, Star Child bath and massage oils, soaps, natural skincare and much much more!
Our philosophy
My aim is to provide holistic, patient-centred care that enables individuals to feel heard and enabled to take charge of their own health. I have a commitment to engage in on-going professional development, education and practitioner research to help advance the field of clinical herbal medicine and to provide the most informed and up-to-date treatment for my patients.
I aim to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible and, as such, I offer high quality herbal products, at affordable prices, that are organic and biodynamically grown when available. Recycled, recyclable and environmentally friendly packaging is used were possible.
The initial consultation will last between 60-75 minutes which will involve and in-depth investigation of your current, recent and past medical history. I will often undertake clinical examinations, where relevant, and utilise a range of tools for diagnosis and monitoring, e.g. blood pressure, blood glucose and uric acid tests.
At the end of the consultation a herbal prescription will be formulated which may include teas, tinctures, capsules, juices, supplements or topical treatments. Changes in diet and lifestyle are also often recommended to enable the restoration of balance to the body. A follow-up appointment will follow 3-4 weeks later to review progress. Consultations will be scheduled as appropriate to the patient needs going forward and prescriptions dispensed on a monthly basis.
While my preference is to meet patients face-to-face, at least for the initial consultation, I offer flexible access to consultations, with a range of clinic hours to suit. I can also offer follow-up consultations either online or by telephone.
